Reading your Bible:  Where to start

Since 1989, I have taught many Bible studies, pastored a church and trained many people who are now pastors, prophets, teachers, elders, apostles, etc.  I have found that the best place for new Christians to start reading the Bible is in the New Testament. Why? You have recently accepted Jesus Christ so naturally, you want to learn as much about Him as possible, quickly. Your spirit will be enlightened as you flip through pages of information about Him—His life, His walk, His miracles, His mercy, love and compassion, and promises given to you. You will learn who Christ is, who you are because of Him and about the power you have to change lives while yours is always being changed for the better.

Now that you have a good foundation about the Lordship of Jesus, go to the Old Testament and read from Genesis to Malachi.  Here you will see God’s rules in effect.  Many things you will not understand, not to worry, we’ve all been there. You will come to understand as you mature (grow) in your walk.
